Who We Are
Anchored Wings Initiative is a community-based, peer-led organization rooted in love and lived experience.
We walk beside individuals, families, and communities impacted by suicide, mental health struggles, and loss. Grounded in compassion, connection, and community, we create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and less alone.
Our work spans prevention, intervention, and postvention, offering education, connection, and peer-led spaces that support people before, during, and after moments of crisis and loss.
We believe grief is not linear, healing looks different for everyone, and no one should have to navigate these experiences alone.
The Work We’re Creating
We are currently in the development phase, building five pillars of support:
Prevention (education & awareness), Intervention (resource navigation & community connection), and Postvention (peer support & healing after loss), Community Education (workshops, training & accessible tools) and Awareness & Advocacy (storytelling, lived experience & systems change).
Coming Events
We believe real change begins when people come together.
Anchored Wings Initiative hosts events throughout the year focused on suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and community connection. These gatherings create space for learning, open conversation, and shared support.
Whether it’s a training, speaker series, or community event, each one is designed to strengthen our community and remind people they are not alone.
